Daniel & Lorin – A Tennessee River Place Wedding

Daniel and Lorin booked me as their photographer last March at the This Ain’t Your Mama’s Wedding show and wowie was the wait worth it! A year ago on their wedding day we did a site visit of the Tennessee River Place and I knew then I was going to love shooting this wedding. The weather yesterday was beyond perfect and they were so organized! (makes me so happy!) The whole day was kind of magical… even when doing photo in the middle of the day a cloud magically came and provided the perfect overcast for our photos!

I absolutely loved their whimsical and elegant style. The simple flowers and so many hand made decorations. Like the sign said, “Happily ever after begins here!”

Ronnie & Ravon – A Lexington, Kentucky Wedding

This past Saturday was nothing short of magical. These two love birds tied the knot at Lexington’s beautiful Spindletop Mansion. The flowers were amazing, the weather was beyond perfect, the band kept the dance floor poppin’ but the thing I loved most was how in love they are! Ravon and Ronnie celebrated in style with their families and closest friends. The couple dated for 7 years and are moving to Dallas, Texas at the end of the month!

Sweet hearts like these two make my job so wonderful! Congrats again Ravon and Ronnie!

Kevin & Mariana – Center Park Engagement

I remember the first time I got wind of Mariana and Kevin dating, I thought… “Why didn’t I think of that!” Two peas in a pod really! I have known Mariana and Kevin for years but through very different social circles. Last night we headed down to Chattanooga’s new downtown park called Center Park to take some engagement photos. At one point Kevin turned to me and said, “Are you ready?” Then pulled out GLITTER CONFETTI!

If there is one way straight to the depths of heart… it’s with glitter confetti.

I can’t wait to shoot their wedding in just a few short weeks! Enjoy.

Eleanor & John – A Chattanooga Wedding

Sometimes I can’t help but think I get all of the cool brides and grooms! These two were such a blast to shoot not mention some of the most genuine and heartfelt people I have ever encounter. Though they live in D.C., since Eleanor’s family is from Chattanooga they had a wedding that really showcased Chattanooga. Eleanor’s bridal luncheon was at the Hart Gallery, they used local florist Linda Pettit, had Chattanooga whiskey signature cocktail at the reception and even left in the Whiskey truck!

Sara & Paul – A Trenton, Georgia Elopement

Back in January I was telling a friend how I so badly wanted to shoot an elopement. How fun! A short, simple, sweet ceremony and then time with just the bride and groom for photos. It was only a few days later I got Sara’s email and I was pumped! Paul’s grandparents had eloped to Trenton 50 years before so it only made sense to make it a family tradition. They made the drive up from Alabama 2 days after my birthday (perfect b-day gift! Thanks guys!) and I met them at the Chattanoogan Hotel. They were a joy to hang out with. I especially enjoyed Paul zipping Sara into her dress and trying to figure out the hook & eye!

After their intimate ceremony in Trenton we came back around the mountain to shoot in this beautiful field. Since the day wasn’t on a tight schedule like a normal wedding I got to bring along my couch! YES! My couch….

Baby Cooper – A Newborn Session

Just a few weeks after sweet baby cooper entered the world I had the privilege of capturing his new little life. This tiny guy was so precious!

I love doing family sessions in people’s homes. I love capturing your family, you love, all in the space you share together. There is something kind of magical about some letting you into their home, into the moments they share and letting you photograph them.

Kyle & Sarah – A Dalton, Georgia Wedding

I am really starting to love these winter weddings! Sarah and Kyle live in St. Louis but her family is just south of Chattanooga in Dalton, Ga so they had their wedding here. For January 12th the weather was awesome! Sarah looked stunning in the dress her grandmother and her mother wore but my favorite part of this wedding was definitely the live band! Cashmere out of Atlanta had every single guest out on the dance floor! Enjoy!
