Sitting here all cozied up with Milton and a furry blanket I was just digging through some old photos. I cam across these photos from a Harvest Moon celebration I hosted back in September. I suppose the chaos of wedding season caused these sweet memories to get shuffled away. I debated on posting them since they are so old in terms of how I normally share but something about that night and remembering that first feeling of crisp air. I just had relive such a wonderful night!
I love when the seasons change. I love the marking of a new era. I love beating change to the punch. I am not especially great with change if it sneaks up on me but if I can celebrate the coming of the new and say a proper farewell to the old… Well, then I do just fine.
Looking at these now makes me remember why I love photographs so much in the first place. To see these people I care about so dearly smiling and laughing makes me so happy. I can remember exactly how wonderful it was to feel fall coming. To have apple cider and pumpkin dip for the first time in a full year! I made 8 gallons of chili that night and we ate like kings!
Thank you to my friend Maggie of Inks+Threads for setting such a beautiful table for us!
