This charming venue, managed by Rock City, offers a breathtaking view of Chattanooga and a cozy, old Southern mountain-home vibe that made it the perfect backdrop for their celebration. With its cobblestone paths, ornate wood details, and stunning natural light, Grandview is every photographer’s dream.

      A Scenic Beginning

Mary and her bridesmaids kicked off the day in an adorable Airbnb off Main Street, where I captured some candid, joy-filled moments. The girls were steaming dresses, sharing laughs in their matching button-ups, and even indulged in a mini pajama party—such a fun way to start the day! After some beautiful getting-ready shots, we headed up the mountain to Grandview, where the magic really began.

As if on cue, the early October weather was absolute perfection. The leaves had just started to turn, giving us rich, deep greens with little golden-burnt edges—perfect for a fall wedding!

      Grandview’s Timeless Charm

One of my favorite things about Grandview is its traditional style and unique architecture. Mary waited to slip into her gown until we arrived at the venue, which had two intimate getting-ready rooms. These spaces, with their vintage chandeliers, cozy wood furniture, and a massive mirror, were ideal for capturing heartfelt moments between Mary and her mom. These two shared a sweet connection, and there was barely a dry eye in the room as they held hands and exchanged a few tender words.

Bud Floral & Home designed the stunning florals that provided so much beauty throughout the day. Mary’s reveal with her father (who managed to keep it together until he saw Mary fully dressed—then the tears flowed!), was so touching. They shared a glass of whiskey before jumping into the rest of the festivities. Everything flowed together beautifully.

      A First Look to Remember

Paul was ready and looking dapper in his white tux jacket, which added a touch of modern elegance to his classic style. The first look took place with the stunning bluff view of Lookout Mountain in the background. These two were adorable as they shared that private moment before the ceremony, and the backdrop couldn’t have been more perfect.

One of the great things about Grandview is that you never really have to leave the property to get incredible shots. With its deep woods, cobblestone paths, and lush landscaping, every corner offers something beautiful. After the ceremony, we even had the privilege of being driven to the venue owner’s flat yard for more photos—such a thoughtful gesture and ideal for capturing larger group shots.

      Ceremony and Celebration

The ceremony was held on one of Grandview’s cobblestone patios, which was tented in anticipation of rain. But luck was on our side, and everything went off without a hitch. Mary and Paul’s handwritten vows were incredibly touching, with their families and friends tearing up alongside them. It was one of those moments that reminded you just how beautiful vulnerability can be.

After the ceremony, we had more time for portraits, and you could feel the shift in energy as these two officially became husband and wife. There’s something so special about that post-ceremony glow—it’s pure joy, and it shows up in every photo.

The reception was an elegant outdoor dinner under the stars, with twinkling lights, live music, and the best company you could ask for. The couple cut their classic cake, decorated with orchids, and toasted with rosé before hitting the dance floor. And let me tell you, these two know how to dance! Paul’s twirl-spin of Mary had her dress flying in the air—it was picture-perfect.

Dancing, Celebrating, and a Sweet Goodbye

The night ended with even more fun on the dance floor, surrounded by their closest friends and family. Mary and Paul even shared a private last dance while their guests lined up for the grand exit. It was such a sweet, intimate moment, just the two of them soaking it all in before riding off on Paul’s motorcycle (yes, a motorcycle exit—how cool is that?).

Grandview truly provided the perfect setting for Mary and Paul’s wedding—a venue filled with charm, character, and breathtaking views. If you’re looking for a Chattanooga wedding venue that combines natural beauty with timeless elegance, and allows you to really customize the look of your event, Grandview should definitely be on your list.
