Talk about stunning! Sarah and Yasser’s intimate wedding took them away from the city to the breathtaking Alps, where they exchanged vows with just a few family and friends. They organized a week of adventure and relaxation by the lake in Traunkirchen, filled with hikes, ferry rides, shopping, swimming, and lavish dinners. Oh, and lots of delicious port wine!

Sarah’s dress was from a designer in Venice, where the couple lives. They had a traditional Austrian ceremony with the signing of the legal documents and I had the honor of doing Sarah’s flowers! Sarah is a childhood friend of mine and I first had the pleasure of meeting Yasser 2.5 years ago when I visited Austrian for my 30th birthday. It was quite the special occasion to get to see these two lovebirds tie the knot!

After their nuptials in an 11th-century monastery, they had a small reception by the lake. After taking some photos around Traunkirchen we loaded everyone up in a vintage Mercedes bus with a glass top (!!!) And headed further into the Alps to Bad Mitterndorf to the most magical restaurant in the world!   The restaurant was in a small house in the countryside. It was created and run by a lovely couple who live above the restaurant. They make and source every little thing locally. They even make their own gin! It was probably one of the better meals of my life. Everyone was sobbing as we went around toasting Sarah & Yasser and how special their connection is. This is definitely a intimate wedding for the books at Our Ampersand Photo!
