Talk about dreamy! Paige and Dakota were married under a gorgeous old tree at Magnolia Pines in Chickamauga, Georgia. Their day was super sweet, tons of fun, and perfectly them, right down to the smallest details. (And if you needed another reason to keep reading, they included their pups in the ceremony!) Enjoy this beautiful wedding at Magnolia Pines!

The Magnolia Pines wedding venue in Chickamauga, Georgia, features a stunning old house, barn/garage style reception space, and acres of unforgettable scenery. On one side of the house, you get the rolling hills and open farmland. On the other, there’s an ancient pine grove. The best of both worlds!

I recommend Magnolia Pines any couple looking for a refined space with a down-home feel. Paige and Dakota tied the knot in fall, but you really can’t go wrong in the spring or winter here either (or the summer if you dare to brave the Georgia heat and humidity).

Another great bonus to this venue is the getting ready space. The ladies got to use the house on the property all morning, and Paige and I had free reign of the space for photos. I especially love the photos of her dresses (plural!) on the spiral staircase and the antique armoire upstairs.

Once the gals were ready, we snapped some fun photos in these blue velvet chairs, and then I took some bridal portraits of Paige at the bottom of the staircase. I adore how the light fell so gently on her and then fades off in the background – almost like a natural spotlight!

While the girls got ready at Magnolia Pines, Dakota and the guys spent the morning at Dakota’s dad’s house up the road. They jammed in their blue suits, took a shot, and just enjoyed a chill morning. Then, they piled in a car and headed to the venue.

By the time I got back to Magnolia Pines, the florals had arrived! I couldn’t get enough of all the delicious texture in Paige’s bouquet, especially the huge blooms and seeded eucalyptus. The flowers moved as she walked and popped off her dress in the most amazing way.

For their first look, Paige and Dakota met on the lush lawn in front of the house. She tapped him on the shoulder, and when he turned around, the look on his face was priceless.

The only thing that could make this moment better? Dogs! Paige and Dakota decided to include their two pups in their wedding day, and I’m so glad they did. They put each of them in a tiny tux (I’m crying) and had their own ‘first look’ with the dogs. It was so sweet watching these pups go crazy to see their parents!

Since we had some extra time before the ceremony, I knocked out some bridal party and family photos. The crew had a ton of fun posing on the porch swings and in the pine grove. Seriously, this bridal party was a blast! I love it when the bridal party is willing to jump in and pose, come up with their own ideas, and make the bride and groom laugh. It helps the couple chill out before they walk down the aisle.

Nature showed out for Paige and Dakota’s wedding ceremony at Magnolia Pines. They were wed under an ancient oak tree with the afternoon sun beaming through the branches. Their guests sat in the shade of the tree and fanned themselves with their programs (a nice touch in Georgia!). Paige and Dakota exchanged vows they’d written themselves, said a prayer with their guests, and were pronounced husband and wife with their pups right beside them. Does it get any more perfect than that?

After they ran their pups back down the aisle, Paige and Dakota slipped away for a quick wardrobe change. Remember how I mentioned Paige had two wedding dresses? The ceremony dress was a fitted lace number with a long train, but the ceremony dress was a full-on princess gown! She got the best of both worlds!

We took a few more bride-and-groom portraits complete with dress spins (because how could we not?) and then headed over to the reception.

All of the Magnolia Pines wedding venue is gorgeous, but I’m especially in love with their reception space. There’s tons of exposed brick and modern touches, like the Edison bulbs and white drapery. Plus, one side features massive barn doors that slide open to create an indoor/outdoor vibe. Guests can eat inside, dance under the stars, or just mingle on the lawn – all without feeling like they’ve ever left the party.

In my years as a wedding photographer, I’ve noticed that some crowds are hesitant to start dancing before the sun goes down. As you can see, that was not the case with Paige and Dakota’s guests! After a couple drinks (in cute custom coozies) and some freaking divine cake, they were ready to go!

Since they planned to spend the night on the property, Paige and Dakota didn’t need a proper send-off. Instead, they handed out sparklers on the dance floor. The newlyweds danced surrounded by sparklers under the full moon and then partied into the night.

Special thanks to all of the vendors who made Paige and Dakota’s wedding so beautiful.
