LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN FIRST LOOK WITH SOUTHERLY FLOWER FARM BOUQUET

The day started off on Lookout Mountain in Georgia. Meg and her girls got ready at her parents’ home. Meg’s dress from All About the Bride has some gorgeous details and suits Meg so well. Daniel and the guys got ready nearby at a family friend’s house, and then we all met up at a private residence on the bluff next to Rock City. The couple shared their first look before a sweet photo session and portraits with their entire bridal party.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t get enough of these Southerly Flower Farm bouquets. They perfectly complement the setting, the tone, and the feel for Meg and Daniel’s big day.

OK, so I’ve got to introduce y’all to Southerly Flower Farm for real. I’ve talked about Southerly in past blogs, and we’ve done a few styled shoots together at The Turnbull Building. But they are the real deal, I swear. When you scroll through this blog, please please pay extra attention to these florals! Southerly Flower Farm has knocked it out of the park yet again! My heart skips a beat every time I see Meg’s bouquet.

      ALL ABOUT SOUTHERLY FLOWER FARM

Sarah and Matthew Ervin own and operate Southerly Flower Farm. The couple is highly creative and holds a deep respect for farming. From the intersection of their passions, Southerly was born in their kitchen and has taken off over the past several years. Together, the Ervins grow their own flowers on their farm. They supply flowers to local florists as well as directly to the public through a number of markets around Chattanooga. They even have a few “shop drops,” as they call it, where they partner with local businesses to provide flowers for shop customers.

Besides their direct flower sales, Southerly Flower Farm’s main work is full-service floral design for weddings. And, of course, I mostly run into them at the weddings I shoot, where I am stunned over and over again by their floral design skills! Southerly’s site explains that they “…dive deep into your details and talk through things like how you would like your wedding atmosphere to feel, your color palette, and how we can make your wedding celebration unique.”

I love that they work with couples to really match the feel of the florals to the event itself. I’ve seen them do this time after time! So they start with an initial phone consult, and once they’re booked, they do an in-person walk-through at your venue with a specially created mood board for your event.

Southerly Flower Farm’s designs have so much energy to them–they do an amazing job letting the flowers be perfectly opened, giving them an organic and playful look. They’re by far one of the best floral designers in Chattanooga.

THE COKER MUSEUM BRIDAL PORTRAITS AND WEDDING RECEPTION

Following Meg and Daniel’s ceremony at First Baptist Church in Chattanooga, the wedding party loaded up into a vintage convertible bus and headed to their reception at Coker Tire Museum downtown. The Coker Museum a cool backdrop for some of Meg and Daniel’s bride and groom portraits. This venue provides so much for guests to see, and the crowd was really ready to party. You can see from the photos that the dance floor was the place to be this night! I loved how Meg’s skirt moved across the floor as she danced. Such a fun couple and great crowd celebrating them!

Meg and Daniel were such a joy to work with. If you want more of these cuties, take a second to go check out their epic road trip engagement session on top of Max Patch!
